What was the highlight of The Grand at Trafalgar Square
A quiet stay in central London, but not entirely safe...
When I booked the hotel, I requested a quiet room as I would be spending most of time in the room, working. The Grand definitely delivered! I had the perfect room at the very end of the hallway, at the back of the hotel. It was warm, so the airconditioning had to stay on but over the hum of the airconditioning I heard absolutely nothing; not other guests, not central London. It was peaceful bliss. The location is perfect, right off Trafalgar Square. A short walk to Leicester Square and the West End Theatres (the reason for my trip). The London Eye and Big Ben are equally close by as are several tube stops to connect you to the rest of the city. Keep in mind that the location is the one thing you are paying top dollars for. The hotel room's interior is quite dated and while comfortable (I adored the lounge chair, so comfy), it does not have a luxurious look to it. In any other location, this hotel room would rightfully be considered excessively overpriced. But it had everything I needed and I had a perfect stay up until my last night...
The only real negative experience I had was that on my last night, at 11pm, someone entered my room. By calling out and rushing to the door to close it, I was able to prevent them from entering. Looking through the peephole I saw a man with a suitcase. He lingered at the door for a bit and eventually called out "sorry, ma'am" to me and then left. It appeared to have been a mistake, but as a woman traveling alone it did rattle me. Overall, I can recommend staying at The Grand and in fact I probably will return myself, but I advise anyone to put the chain on the door as soon as you are in and don't leave valuables around when you go out... as apparently the front desk mistakenly hands out functioning keycards for your room to other people...

What was the highlight of The Grand at Trafalgar Square
Clean and great location. We were really happy with our stay.
The location was excellent. My family really liked the room with a complimentary coffee machine. We also really appreciated the complimentary water refill station. We attended lots of events (F1, Wimbeldon, concert) and got muddy due to so much rain. I was really appreciative of the complimentary washer and dryer to clean some of my muddy and wet clothes.

Wonderful
Breakfast was ok. I would like to see sliced ​​tomatoes and cucumbers, fresh lettuce etc. The location couldn't be better in London. All the main attractions are within walking distance.
